The Certified Arborist Exam, administered by the International Arboricultural Society (ISA), is accredited by the American National Standards Institute. Professionals who earn this credential demonstrate professional knowledge of tree biology, safety practices, diagnosis and other topics related to arboriculture. The Information Systems Analyst (ISA) exit exam is designed to assess the knowledge of college students graduating according to the IS 2002 model curriculum. The exam has 258 questions that cover a wide range of Information Systems (IS) topics. These credential holders have a minimum of 18 months of experience in professional tree climbing safely and efficiently to perform tree care.
They are knowledgeable in the main aspects of tree care, including pruning, removal, wiring and safety. They must pass a knowledge test and a skills test conducted by trained evaluators. ISA-certified arbolists must also adhere to the Code of Ethics that strengthens workforce credibility and reliability. To earn an ISA-certified arborist credential, you must be trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of arboriculture.
The International Society for Arboriculture (ISA) is a global professional organization dedicated to fostering greater appreciation of trees and promoting research, technology and professional practice in arboriculture. Professional recognition: This is the proof: the ISA Certified Arborist designation distinguishes you as someone with the commitment, dedication and knowledge to succeed. The holder of this credential must be an ISA-certified arborist and may have one or more of the other credentials listed above. A score of 76% or higher is considered approved and will lead to the designation of an ISA Certified Arborist.
